On 31st October 2025, the Ministry of Culture and Bharat Bharati, in collaboration with Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology (SKUAST-K), Srinagar, commemorated the 150th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The programme, themed “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat,” celebrated India’s cultural diversity and national solidarity through an impressive line-up of traditional attire parades, regional dance and music performances, authentic cuisine stalls, and vibrant cultural exhibitions. In the programme, students from 22 states of the country brought alive the spirit of unity in diversity through folk dances, songs and traditional presentations.
Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, applauding the initiative for reinforcing the spirit of unity envisioned by Sardar Patel. The event highlighted Iron Man’s visionary leadership in uniting princely states and his enduring legacy of patriotism, perseverance, and selfless service. Bharat Bharati has announced its mission to organise similar programmes across 150 cities and 150 universities from 2025-26, furthering the message of “One India, Strong India.”
