Ministry of Culture and Aniket Seva Sansthan Inaugurate Four-Day Celebration of 150th Birth Anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda in Ranchi

A four-day programme commemorating the 150th Birth Anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda began on 11 November 2025 at Balika Shiksha Sadan, Lalpur, Ranchi, Jharkhand. The event was organised by Aniket Seva Sansthan, Amethi (Uttar Pradesh), with support from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The inaugural session was graced by senior social worker Shri Dinesh Pratap Verma as the Chief Guest.  In his address, Shri Verma highlighted Birsa Munda’s role in uniting the tribal community and inspiring the nation with ideals of freedom and self-respect.

The session was conducted by Shri Subodh Tiwari, who spoke on Birsa Munda’s life and reformist mission, while Coordinator Smt. Alka Tirwar presided over the event, emphasising his enduring relevance for today’s youth. The inaugural ceremony featured vibrant folk songs, tribal dances, and stage performances that reflected Birsa Munda’s legacy and cultural heritage. The event witnessed the active participation of hundreds of students and teachers, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and reverence. Shri Krishna Kumar Tiwari, President of Aniket Seva Sansthan, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all guests and participants.
