A two-day commemorative event marking the birth centenary of Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee was organised from 24 to 25 December in Madhya Pradesh by the Dronacharya Vidyapeeth Education Committee, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture.
The event aimed to promote awareness of Former Prime Minister Shri Vajpayee’s ideals, nationalism, and cultural consciousness, while inspiring the younger generation to imbibe these values. The programme commenced with floral tributes to Shri Vajpayee, the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, and the recitation of Saraswati Vandana, followed by the felicitation of invited guests.
On the inaugural day, an exhibition reflecting the life and contributions of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee was organised at Pragati Bal Vidya Mandir, with participation from around 250 students. The second day featured a bhajan sandhya by renowned local singers, who were honoured with mementoes and cash prizes.
The commemorative event witnessed wide participation from members of the general public.
