Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with Gramin Vikas Bandhu Paryavaran and Swasthya Samiti, organised a two-day commemorative programme from 23 to 24 December 2025 in Uttarakhand to mark the birth centenary of Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
The programme was inaugurated by former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri Bhagat Singh Koshiyari. The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, addressed the gathering via video message and paid tribute to former Prime Minister Shri Vajpayee, reflecting on his contributions across political, administrative, and literary domains.
The event was held at the premises and auditorium of Sahitya Sanskriti evam Kala Parishad, near Akashwani Azabpur, Haridwar Bypass Road. An exclusive digital gallery was also organised, showcasing Shri Vajpayee’s administrative, social, political, and international contributions.
The programme witnessed participation of approximately 500 attendees, including NCC cadets, university students, students from government and private schools, and women from more than 25 Self-Help Groups (SHGs), reflecting wide community engagement in commemorating the life and legacy of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
