A three-day commemorative event marking the birth centenary of Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee was organised from 25 to 27 December 2025 at the Club Auditorium, Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, by Gyan Ganga Sewa Sansthan in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture.

The programme aimed to disseminate awareness about the life, contributions, and legacy of the Former Prime Minister Shri Vajpayee. The commemorative event commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and floral tributes to Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee by the invited dignitaries. Speakers highlighted Shri Vajpayee’s guiding principles and reflected on his leadership in shaping ideals of good governance, peace, and harmony. Around 200 participants, including community leaders, students, women representatives, members of social organisations, and Panchayat Raj representatives, attended the programme.

The second day featured addresses highlighting Shri Vajpayee’s identity as a sensitive poet and writer, alongside his role as an able administrator. A poets’ meet (kavi sammelan) was organised to honour his literary legacy, during which ten poets recited compositions centred on nationalism, peace, democracy, and human values.

The concluding day saw essay, speech, drawing, and quiz competitions focused on the life and ideas of Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Over 200 students participated in these competitions. Winners and participants were awarded prizes, certificates, and mementoes. The commemorative event witnessed wide participation from students, youth, and members of the general public.
