A six-day commemorative programme marking the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee was organised from 31 January to 5 February 2026 in Tumkur, Karnataka, by the Health Educational & Agricultural Development Society in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The programme was held at Sri Manjunatha Function Hall and brought together students, academicians, and members of the public to reflect on the life and contributions of Dr. Mookerjee.

The programme commenced with an inaugural session featuring invocation prayers and welcome addresses, followed by a series of lectures and presentations by distinguished speakers and academic staff. The programme emphasised educational outreach and public engagement, particularly among students, with discussions aimed at fostering awareness of national identity and encouraging reflection on values such as integrity, resilience, and intellectual growth. The initiative served as a platform to disseminate knowledge about Dr. Mookerjee’s contributions while reinforcing the broader objective of promoting awareness of India’s historical and political legacy through structured academic engagement.
