Ministry of Culture and Heartfulness Observe 350th Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji in Telangana

Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with Heartfulness, organised a solemn and spiritually significant programme commemorating the 350th Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji at Kanha Shanti Vanam, Telangana. The event brought together dignitaries, devotees and spiritual seekers to pay tribute to the life and supreme sacrifice of the ninth Sikh Guru.

The programme was graced by former President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Governor of Telangana Shri Jishnu Dev Varma, Governor of Uttarakhand Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Gurmit Singh, and Telangana Minister for Excise, Tourism, Culture and Archaeology Shri Jupally Krishna Rao. Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat joined virtually and delivered a video message on the occasion.

In his address, Shri Shekhawat paid homage to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and stated that the Guru’s life remains a timeless source of inspiration for humanity. He highlighted the Guru’s fearlessness, wisdom and steadfast commitment to the principles of unity in diversity. He noted that the supreme sacrifice of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji in defence of religious freedom and human dignity remains one of the defining chapters of Indian history.

The programme featured Shabad Kirtan, a guided meditation session by Daaji, and an exhibition, creating an atmosphere of reverence and reflection. The Kirtan resonated through the serene surroundings of Kanha Shanti Vanam, reinforcing the Guru’s message of peace, courage and compassion.
