Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with Kamala Gramudhyog Sewa Sansthan, organised a four-day commemorative programme from 24 to 27 December 2025 at Ghungat Palace Auditorium, Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh, to mark the birth centenary of Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The programme aimed to highlight his legacy and inspire younger generations through his ideals and contributions.
The inaugural day featured addresses by invited dignitaries reflecting on the life and multifaceted contributions of former Prime Minister Shri Vajpayee. A musical theatre presentation depicting his life journey was a key highlight, portraying his roles as a statesman, leader, orator, poet, and journalist, with participation from around 70 artists.
On the second day, a seminar-cum-workshop was organised focusing on his leadership values, contributions to Indian democracy, political vision, and literary legacy. Scholars and artists engaged in discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions.
The programme also included a poet’s meet and an essay competition for students centred on Shri Vajpayee’s life and ideals. The commemorative event witnessed wide participation from cultural enthusiasts, intellectuals, social workers, students, and members of the public, reflecting the enduring relevance of his legacy.
