A four-day programme commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was organised from 21 to 24 December at Sardar Patel Sansthan, Alopibagh, Prayagraj, by the Lakshya organisation in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, as part of the nationwide celebrations.
The commemorative event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and witnessed participation from a large number of distinguished citizens and eminent personalities of the city. Speakers shared brief reflections on the life, leadership, and contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Over the four days, speakers addressed various aspects of Sardar Patel’s life and national role, with particular emphasis on his contribution to national integration and public administration. The programme featured a range of cultural and public engagement activities, including street plays, poetry recitations, bhajan performances, folk dances, and musical presentations.
Artists and speakers were honoured with shawls and mementoes, and prizes were awarded to performers. The event witnessed wide public participation and active engagement throughout.
