A six-day programme commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was organised by Little Angel’s Educational Society from 24 to 29 November at Vamshika Hall, Penukonda, Andhra Pradesh, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp in the presence of the esteemed guests. Around 500 participants, including students, teachers, lecturers, scholars and representatives from NGOs, SHGs and CBOs, took part in the commemorative event.
A series of activities was conducted throughout the six days, including rallies, tree plantation drives, lectures, speeches, drawing and essay competitions, folk dance performances, workshops and lecture series highlighting the life and contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Prizes and certificates were distributed to participants for outstanding performances.
The commemorative event successfully raised awareness about Sardar Patel’s role in India’s freedom movement and his enduring contribution to national integration.
