Under the aegis of the two-year-long nationwide commemoration of the 150th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with Maa Purna Jan Kalyan Seva Sansthan, organised a two-day programme from 6 to 7 February 2026 in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh. The programme focused on promoting Sardar Patel’s vision of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ and his enduring ideals of national unity, pride and patriotism.
On 6 February, essay writing competitions were organised at four educational institutions across Hardoi, including Shri Veni Madhav Inter College, Rajkiya Kanya Inter College, RR Inter College, and DAV Inter College. A large number of students participated, reflecting on the life, leadership, and contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel through their research and creative expression.
On 7 February, a cultural programme was held at Gandhi Sabhagar, Hardoi, featuring musical performances and theatrical presentations inspired by the life and legacy of Sardar Patel. Renowned director and singer Shri Amit Dixit (Ramji) and his team presented patriotic compositions and stage performances highlighting themes of national integration and leadership.
During the valedictory ceremony, the winners of the essay writing competition and participating artists were awarded prizes, certificates, and mementos by the dignitaries.
