A three-day commemorative programme was organised from 24 to 26 January 2026 at ST. JB Global Academy, Shikohabad, District Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, by Mela Sthal Janubaba, Shikohabad, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, to mark the 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee.

The programme aimed to pay tribute to the life and legacy of Dr. Mookerjee, spread awareness about his vision of national unity and constitutional integrity, and inspire youth towards patriotism and civic responsibility. The event sought to create educational, intellectual, cultural, and social engagement by familiarising participants with Dr. Mookerjee’s ideals and encouraging discussions on themes of nation-building and democratic values.

The inaugural day commenced with ceremonial lamp lighting and floral tributes, followed by a documentary screening and an exhibition of historical photographs related to Dr. Mookerjee’s life and contributions. The second day focused on intellectual engagement through seminars, debate competitions, patriotic poetry recitations, and a youth pledge ceremony centred on nationalism and constitutional values.

The concluding day featured cultural presentations, including folk dances and patriotic songs, along with motivational addresses and a felicitation ceremony during which participants were honoured with certificates and mementos.

The programme was attended by distinguished academicians, social leaders, educators, police officials, and public representatives. Approximately 600-800 participants attended the event each day, with the total footfall exceeding 2,000 participants over the three-day period.

The commemorative programme served as a platform to connect Dr. Mookerjee’s enduring ideals with the aspirations of the younger generation and promote awareness of his contributions towards national thought and public life.
