A three-day commemorative programme marking the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee was organised from 12 to 14 February 2026 at Sarvodaya Saraswati Vidya Mandir, Lal Bangla, Charhi, in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, by Muskan Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
The programme aimed to create awareness among youth and the wider community about the life, vision, and contributions of Dr. Mookerjee, while promoting values of patriotism, environmental responsibility, and educational engagement. Activities conducted over the three days included a tree plantation drive, documentary screenings, academic quiz competitions, poster, slogan and essay writing contests, panel discussions, cleanliness drives, health camps, and cultural performances.
As part of the outreach component, the programme also included distribution of books, stationery kits, and essential supplies to underprivileged students, with a focus on promoting access to education. The initiative witnessed participation from students, educators, volunteers, and community members, serving as a platform for collective engagement and promoting social awareness and community development.
