Ministry of Culture and Muzaffarpur Janhit Pratishthan Commemorate 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in Bihar

The Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with Muzaffarpur Janhit Pratishthan, organised a commemorative programme on 28 February 2026 in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The event was held at the Kishori Sinha Auditorium, Rameshwar College.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Bhagwan Lal Sahni, former Chairman of the National Commission for Backward Classes. During the event, speakers highlighted Sardar Patel’s contributions to India’s freedom movement, including his leadership in the Kheda Satyagraha, his pivotal role in the integration of princely states, and his service as India’s first Home Minister.

The commemoration featured a range of activities, including cultural performances, a quiz competition, and a debate competition, with participation from scholars, social activists, college principals, teachers, and students.

The programme concluded with an award ceremony for the winners of various competitions, followed by a formal vote of thanks.
