A commemorative cultural event highlighting the life and legacy of Lokmata Rani Ahilyabai Holkar was organised by Nanka Charitable Trust, Barabanki, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, on 12 December at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel College, Israuli Seth, Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh. The programme was organized under the aegis of the ongoing commemoration of 300th Birth Anniversary of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar.
Chairman, Tribal Commission, Uttar Pradesh, Shri Baijnath Rawat attended the programme as Chief Guest, along with several dignitaries and invited guests.
The central feature of the event was a theatrical performance presented by a group of 50 artists, portraying key episodes from the life of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar. The play highlighted her principles of good governance, commitment to social welfare and leadership in advancing women’s empowerment and social reform.
The performance was directed by Shri Mata Prasad Varma of Awadhi Lok Samooh Samiti. The event witnessed the participation of a large audience, including students, teachers and members of the general public, reflecting strong public engagement with the cultural commemoration.
