Ministry of Culture and NOC Foundation Organise Commemoration of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar’s 300th Birth Anniversary

A day-long programme commemorating the 300th Birth Anniversary of Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar was organised on 7 December at the Constitutional Club of India, New Delhi, by the NOC Foundation in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture. The event brought together dignitaries and representatives from various national and social organisations.

The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by seminars and cultural presentations highlighting Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar’s contributions to governance, social reform and public welfare. Activities centred on themes of women’s empowerment, good governance and cultural preservation. Students from Miranda House and Hansraj College, University of Delhi, presented a theatrical performance depicting the life and legacy of Ahilyabai Holkar.

More than 650 participants, including students, dignitaries and members of the public, attended the commemorative event.
