Ministry of Culture and Nrutyadham Organise Two-Day Cultural Festival in Bhopal to Commemorate Birth Centenary of Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee

A two-day cultural festival commemorating the birth centenary of Bharat Ratna, former Prime Minister of India Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee was organised by Nrutyadham in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, from 3 to 4 December at Ravindra Bhawan, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.

Padma Shri awardee Shri Bijayadata Sridhara graced the event as the Chief Guest, along with other distinguished dignitaries.

The festival commenced with the release of the book “Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee - The Titan of  Great Politician” and the screening of a documentary highlighting Shri Vajpayee’s life and contributions. A painting and sketch competition for school and college students was also organised. Highlights of the first day included an Odissi dance performance by Pratikshya Parida of Nrutyadham, Bhubaneswar, and Paricharcha and Kavi Sammelan sessions featuring noted poets.

The second day featured a series of cultural performances, including Sangha Ratna Bankar Lok Nrutya by Sanghamitra Tayibade, an Odissi duet by Tanisha Pani and Deepanmita Padhi, and Bundeli Lok Gayan by Rishi Viswakarma. Over 200 artists participated in the performances, with around 500 attendees witnessing the festival. Prizes were distributed to winners of the painting and sketch competitions at the conclusion of the event.
