Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the People’s Institute for Development and Training, organised a three-day commemorative programme from 23 to 25 February 2026 at Anandalaya Public School, Jagadishpur, Jharkhand, to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The first day commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting and floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The programme featured mass singing of patriotic songs, a Santhal folk dance performance by professional artists, and a student stage play depicting the life and contributions of Sardar Patel.
The second day, themed ‘Architect of India’, focused on Sardar Patel’s ideals of unity and national integration. Activities included a ‘Run for Unity’ and student competitions such as essay writing, drawing, and poster making, encouraging creative engagement with his vision of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’.
The third day, themed ‘Vision of Unity’, concluded with inspirational addresses, a quiz competition titled ‘Know Your Nation’, and a prize distribution ceremony to felicitate participants. The programme served as a platform to promote awareness of Sardar Patel’s legacy and to inspire youth towards national unity and collective responsibility.
