Ministry of Culture and Shri Gyan Gangotri Vikas Sanstha Commemorate 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

A day-long commemorative event marking the 150th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was organised on 4 January at New Jaggi Green Garden, Goyla Dairy, New Delhi, by Shri Gyan Gangotri Vikas Sanstha in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture.

The event focused on strengthening the spirit of nationalism among the younger generation and highlighting Sardar Patel’s decisive role in the unification of India after Independence. The programme began with floral tributes to Sardar Patel by the invited dignitaries, followed by the felicitation of guests by the organisers.

In their addresses, speakers highlighted the legacy, values, and ideals of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, emphasising their relevance for the younger generation. The speakers also appreciated the organisation’s sustained efforts in community development at the grassroots level.

Over 150 students from various schools participated in the cultural programme. Traditional folk dances performed by local artists reflected India’s ethos of unity in diversity. Students, teachers, and members of the local community attended the event, which witnessed wide participation.
