A four-day commemorative event marking the birth centenary of Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee was organised from 24 to 27 December in Prayagraj by Varsha Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture. The programme, titled Atal Utsav, brought together members of the community and aimed to raise awareness about Shri Vajpayee’s legacy and his contribution to promoting the ideals of good governance in the country.
The commemorative event commenced with floral tributes to Former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee by the invited dignitaries at the District Panchayat Auditorium, Prayagraj. Over the four days, a range of activities centred on Shri Vajpayee’s life and ideals were organised, including discussion sessions, cultural dance and singing performances, nukkad natak, presentations by professional artists, quizzes, debates, essay competitions, and a poets’ conference (kavi sammelan).
The activities witnessed active participation from students and the younger generation. The programme concluded with the announcement of winners and the distribution of prizes to participants of the various competitions.
