Ministry Of Culture Marks Observance of 350th Year of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s Martyrdom With A Dedicated Programme in Hojai, Assam by NEZCC

To commemorate the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), under the aegis of Ministry of Culture, Government of India, organized a special program at Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha Lanka in Hojai, Assam, on June 21, 2026. This event aimed to honor Guru Sahib's supreme martyrdom for the protection of humanity, justice, and religious freedom. 

The program commenced with the recitation of Sri Sukhmani Sahib, followed by Gurbani Kirtan, Katha, Ardas, and Guru Ka Langar and recorded a participation of around 1,500 members of the Sangat.

The event was graced by dignitaries and officials from the Ministry, including Dr. Prashanna Gogoi, Director, NEZCC, along with Mr. Dilip Dhar, District President, BJP, Hojai, Mrs. Paromita Roy Saha, Chairperson, Lanka Municipal Board, and Mr. Binoy Kalita, Kaki Mandal President, BJP. A large number of devotees and office bearers, including the Presidents and Secretaries of various Gurdwaras and Sikh organizations from Guwahati, Nagaon, Barkola, Chaparmukh, Hatipara, Hojai, Lumding, Diphu, and Lanka also participated in the event.

The program concluded with Ardas and the distribution of Guru Ka Langar, spreading the timeless message of peace, equality, selfless service, and communal harmony as exemplified by Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
