A three-day programme was organised by the North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC), Dimapur, under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, in coordination with the Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha Parbandhak Committee, to observe the 350th Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji at Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Maligaon, Guwahati, Assam. The observance commenced with solemn religious ceremonies on the first day, including the Sri Akhand Path Sahib and devotional programmes, setting a deeply spiritual tone for the event.
On May 2, 2026, the second day of the observance was marked by devotional participation of the devotees. The day began with Madh Di Ardas at 9:30 AM, followed by a spiritually uplifting Nagar Kirtan at 12:15 PM, spreading the message of peace, sacrifice, and universal brotherhood preached by Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. In the evening, a Kirtan Diwan was organised from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, featuring devotional renditions by renowned singer Bhai Trilok Singh Ji, which created an atmosphere of spiritual bliss. The day concluded with Guru Ka Langar, strengthening the spirit of unity and harmony among devotees. The programme witnessed participation of around 560 devotees, with footfalls reaching approximately 850.
On May 3, 2026, the concluding day of the three-day observance was held with great devotion and large-scale participation. Shri Laxmi Kant Mandal, Under Secretary, ZCCs, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, attended the event as Chief Guest, while Dr. Prashanna Gogoi, Director, NEZCC, Dimapur, graced the occasion as Guest of Honour. The programme commenced with the Samapti of Sri Akhand Path Sahib at 10:00 AM, followed by a Kirtan Diwan by renowned Ragis including Bhai Mahipal Singh Ji, Bhai Trilok Singh Ji and Bhai Laxman Singh Ji, filling the atmosphere with divine Gurbani and spiritual harmony. The ceremony concluded with the distribution of Prasad and Guru Ka Langar, in which nearly 5,000 devotees and members of the Saadh Sangat participated with devotion and unity, reflecting the enduring legacy and teachings of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji.
The three-day observance witnessed significant participation and successfully brought together devotees and citizens in a shared spirit of devotion, unity, and communal harmony, commemorating the supreme sacrifice of the ninth Sikh Guru.
