Over 100 Artists Present India’s Historical and Constitutional Journey Through Theatre in Kerala

The cultural programme Amrutha Bharatham was organised on 24th October 2025 at Daffodils Auditorium, Perambra, Kozhikode by Matha, Perambra with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Conducted as part of the national observance of the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of India, the event brought together members of the community to reflect on India’s constitutional values and its commitment to unity.

The theatrical production depicted key phases of India’s historical and cultural evolution. Through visually structured sequences and dramatized portrayals, the programme highlighted themes of national integration, citizenship, collective struggle, and constitutional development. The content and structure of the performance aligned with the objectives of the Ministry’s commemorative initiatives.

More than 100 artists participated in the production, contributing to detailed dramatic segments and historical re-enactments. The performances illustrated significant moments in India’s nation-building process and highlighted figures whose efforts shaped India’s democratic and national identity. The staging and coordination created a comprehensive cultural presentation.

The event witnessed the presence of individuals from various cultural and public spheres. The programme formed part of the wider cultural observances undertaken during the 75th anniversary of the Constitution.
