At the Troitskoye Khurul Monastery in the Republic of Kalmykia, Russia, the Indian delegation addressed the revered monks and shared the timeless message of Lord Buddha’s compassion, peace, and wisdom. As a gesture symbolising the spirit of Buddha’s enduring legacy, the delegation presented a precious copy of the ‘Kanjur’, translated into the Mongolian language, to the Chief Abbot of the monastery.
The ‘Kanjur’, containing the sacred teachings of Lord Buddha, represents the deep philosophical and cultural connection between India and the Buddhist world. This special presentation highlights India’s commitment to promoting spiritual harmony, cultural exchange, and universal brotherhood.
