A two-day cultural programme was organised at NTR Auditorium, PSR Telugu University and Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad, from 4th to 5th November, to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, by Reet Kala Sangam with support from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
The inaugural day was graced by prominent personalities from the performing arts community. Kuchipudi dance performances were presented by multiple trained groups, featuring traditional choreography and thematic presentations celebrating India’s rich cultural heritage.
The second day saw participation from public representatives, cultural experts, and artists associated with film, theatre, and classical arts. A commemorative book, “Bharat Ratna Shri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel -The Iron Man of India”, was launched during the programme.
Selected artists and contributors were honoured for their achievements in classical arts. The programme concluded with a series of classical performances in Kuchipudi, Odissi, and Bharatanatyam, involving over 400 artists.
