Shrimati Nandini Rao Gujar was born on 24 January 1985 at Hassan in Karnataka. She received her initial training in Carnatic music from Shri Prasanna Venkatesh and later groomed her art under the tutelage of Shrimati Nagamani Srinath and Shrimati Ranjani Gayatri. She is also trained in Hindustani classical music and Rabindra Sangeet.
An A Grade artist from the All India Radio, Shrimati Nandini Rao Gujar has performed in many prestigious music festivals in India and abroad. She has conducted many thematic workshops in India and overseas. She has many recordings to her credit.
Shrimati Nandini Rao Gujar has received numerous awards including the Kempe Gowda Award conferred by the Government of Karnataka; the Proclamation given by the Mayor of Rancho Cardova, California USA; and, the Sangeetha Shri Award.
Shrimati Nandini Rao Gujar is awarded the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar of Sangeet Natak Akademi for the year 2022 for her notable talent in the field of Sugam Sangeet.
