As part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Rajbhasha Vibhag held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) presented a unique and engaging exhibition stall visited by Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah. The event, attended by over 8,000 participants, showcased Hindi’s evolving role in knowledge, science, and administration. At the IGNCA stall, four thematic exhibitions were displayed—featuring rare periodicals, ancient printed books, manuscripts on science, literature, and art, and the views of Constituent Assembly members on Hindi.
Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah spent several minutes at the stall, showing keen interest in the digital displays and receiving books authored by IGNCA President Shri Ram Bahadur Rai. Over 1,000 visitors explored the IGNCA exhibit, with 150 sharing their reflections. The initiative underlined IGNCA’s commitment to preserving and promoting India’s linguistic and cultural heritage through research and innovation.
