Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi chaired the 47th Annual General Meeting of the Prime Ministers Museum and Library (PMML) Society at Teen Murti Bhawan, New Delhi. Emphasising the importance of museums in connecting people to history, the Prime Minister proposed the creation of a “Museum Map of India” and a comprehensive national database of museums, incorporating visitor data, quality standards, and technological integration.

He also suggested forming youth committees across states to bring fresh ideas to museum development, and called for documenting legal and historical materials related to the Emergency period. The Prime Minister urged engaging influencers and diplomats to boost awareness about India’s rich heritage. The meeting also focused on enhancing public engagement, capacity building, and preserving contemporary records for future generations. Marking the occasion, the Prime Minister planted a Kapur (Cinnamomum camphora) tree at Teen Murti House, symbolising heritage, growth, and sustainability.
