The International Buddhist Confederation (IBC), under the Ministry of Culture, successfully organised the 3rd International Conference of Young Buddhist Scholars (ICYBS) at the Nalanda Auditorium, Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi. Themed “Wisdom Transmission in Buddha Dhamma in the 21st Century”, the conference brought together scholars, monks, and dignitaries from India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia, Russia, and Taiwan. Deliberations focused on how compassion, mindfulness, and ethical values of the Buddha Dhamma can be transmitted in today’s world through digital innovation, intercultural dialogue, and education.

Across four thematic sessions, discussions ranged from Emperor Ashoka’s governance model and Guru–Shishya traditions to the role of Buddha Dhamma in shaping ethical AI and environmental responsibility. With keynote reflections from global experts and vibrant participation from youth, the conference highlighted the enduring relevance of Buddha’s wisdom in fostering leadership, sustainable living, and ethical global governance.
