NATIONAL SCIENCE DAY 2026
To commemorate National Science Day 2026, North Bengal Science Centre (NBSC), Siliguri will organise a special programme celebrating the theme “Women in Science: Catalysing Viksit Bharat.” The event will be held on 28 February 2026 at the Centre premises, bringing together scientists, educators, students, and the public to honour the contributions of women in science and promote scientific temper.
The programme will feature the inauguration of Women Scientists’ Busts, followed by a Leadership Dialogue highlighting the role of women leaders in science education. A dedicated STEM workshop titled “SheSTEM: Curiosity to Creation” will engage students through hands-on learning activities. Visitors will also experience the “Wow Science!” special demonstration show and participate in an interactive quiz programme, “MindLens: See • Think • Answer!”
Through these activities, the event will aim to inspire young minds, encourage gender inclusivity in STEM fields, and strengthen public engagement with science in alignment with the vision of a scientifically empowered and developed India.
