National Space Day Celebration
The District Science Centre, Dharampur is organizing the 2nd National Space Day Celebration to honour India’s space achievements. On August 23, 2023, India became the fourth nation to land on the Moon and the first at its southern pole through Chandrayaan-3. To mark this, PM Shri Narendra Modi declared August 23 as National Space Day.
Programme Highlights:
• Lecture: “From Aryabhatta to Gaganyaan: India’s Cosmic Odyssey” by Dr. Bhadresh Sudani (Asst. Prof., GEC Valsad).
• Exhibition: “From Ancient Skies to Modern Horizons – Space Heritage in India” inaugurated by Hon’ble Shri Arvindbhai Patel (MLA, Dharampur).
• Activities: Astronomy Quiz, Hands-on Astronomy, Water Rocket Demo.
• Film: Hindi documentary on Chandrayaan-3.
